A reverse osmosis system uses a special membrane to filter out the contaminants from your water. The water that contains contaminants are flushed to the drain as the particles are to large to pass through the membrane. The clean, pure water, passes through the tiny membrane pores and is stored in the holding tank.

1. Sediment Filter

This pre-filter removes the basic particles, sand, rust, and small pieces of organic matter that might be in your water supply.

2. Granular Activated Carbon/GAC

This pre-filter removes chemicals like chlorine, herbicides, pesticides, disinfectants, organic and synthetic compounds that create a bad taste or odour in your drinking water, leaving improved taste, colour, and clarity.

3. PAC/Powdered Activated Carbon

A finer carbon filter that removes microscopic contaminants not eliminated by the GAC filter. Same properties as the GAC.

4. ROM/ Reverse Osmosis Membrane

Heart of the system. Excellent in reducing (Lead, Mercury Asbestos, chromium, Iron, Cysts, Arsenic), microscopic dissolved solids, particle contaminants, and bacteria from your water, not removed by GAC and PAC removal.

5. Polishing Filter

After the purified water leaves the storage tank, it passes through an inline carbon filter to ensure all bad taste and odours are removed from your drinking water, leaving an improved taste, colour, clarity and high quality water.

Reverse osmosis uses the membrane as an extremely fine filter to create drinking water from contaminated water. Under pressure contaminated water is pushed through the membrane, leaving the large contaminated dissolved particles behind and allowing only pure, clean water to pass through the membrane openings.
